1. SERVICE & REPAIR WARRANTY (The Workshop)
1.1 Authorized Brand Warranty - Factory Standard:
As an Authorized Service Centre for select Swiss and International brands, MTS operates in full compliance with official manufacturer guidelines and global warranty standards
-
1.2 MTS Workshop Warranty - Non-Authorized Brands:
For all other timepieces that fall outside of our specific brand authorizations, MTS provides a 12-Month In-House Workshop Warranty on all full mechanical overhauls.
- This warranty is backed by our Master Watchmakers and is valid only at our Melbourne Atelier.
The warranty strictly covers mechanical timekeeping and functionality. It does not cover:
- External components including crystals, bracelets, straps, cases, and spring bars.
- Damage caused by "wear and tear," accidental impact (dropping), or crushing.
- Water damage (unless the service specifically included a successful pressure test, and the crown was fully secured by the user).
1.3 Shipping for Warranty: For clients outside of Melbourne, the cost of fully insured shipping to and from our workshop for warranty assessment is the responsibility of the client.
-
2. THE SALES WARRANTY (The Vault / Pre-Owned Purchase)
This applies to any timepiece and jewellery purchased directly from the MTS Exchange / Acquisition.
2.1 Coverage: Every timepiece and jewellery sold by MTS includes a 12-Month Limited Warranty from the date of purchase.
2.2 Scope: This warranty covers the internal mechanical movement and timekeeping accuracy. It ensures the watch performs to the manufacturer’s functional specifications at the time of sale.
2.3 Exclusions: This warranty does not cover "Cosmetic Wear" (scratches to the case/crystal), leather or rubber straps, or damage caused by improper use (e.g., dropping the watch or leaving the crown unscrewed).
2.4 Claim Process: Any mechanical issues must be reported immediately. The watch must be returned to our Melbourne Atelier for inspection before any repair is authorized.
-
3. AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE
3.1 Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee: MTS stands behind the expertise of our certified master watchmakers. We guarantee that every timepiece and piece of jewelleries sold via the "Exchange" or "Acquisition" platforms is 100% authentic.
3.2 Inspection Process: Every item undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection process, including movement verification, serial number cross referencing, and material testing.
3.3 Provenance: Where available, original box and papers will be provided and noted in the product description. If an item is "Watch Only" / "Jewelry Only" its authenticity is still fully guaranteed by our internal certification process.
***3.4 Third-Party Verification: In the highly unlikely event that a reputable third-party authority (e.g., the original manufacturer) provides written proof that an item is not authentic, MTS will provide a full 100% refund, including all shipping costs.
-
4. THE "RISK OF LOSS" CLAUSE
4.1 Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss and title for all items purchased from MTS pass to the Buyer once the item is delivered to the carrier (DHL, FedEx, or Australia Post).
4.2 Delivery Obligations: MTS is
responsible for ensuring the item is securely packaged and handed to the courier with Full Replacement Value Insurance.
4.3 Signature Required: All luxury
shipments are sent with "Direct Signature Required." If a Buyer requests a "Safe Drop" or "No Signature Required" delivery directly with the courier, the Buyer assumes 100% of the risk for any loss or theft that occurs after the courier leaves the package at the premises.
4.4 Damage in Transit: Any visible damage to the external packaging upon delivery must be photographed and reported to MTS within 24 hours to facilitate an insurance claim.
-
5. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, DUTIES & CUSTOMS
5.1 Importer of Record: For all orders shipped outside of Australia, the Buyer is the "Importer of Record" and must comply with all local laws.
5.2 Duties and Taxes: MTS prices do not include international import duties, VAT, or local taxes. If a package is held by customs, it is the buyer's responsibility to resolve the clearance. These are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. MTS will not under-declare the value of items on customs invoices.
****5.3 The International Wire Rule: For security and fraud prevention, all international orders exceeding $5,000 AUD must be paid via Direct Bank Wire Transfer. MTS reserves the right to cancel any high-value international credit card transaction that does not meet our security profile. Shipping will only occur once funds are fully cleared. Please contact us for the payment.
5.4 Shipping & Insurance: All international items are shipped via DHL Express or FedEx or Australia Post with full replacement value insurance and require a signature from an adult (18+) upon delivery.
****4.5 International Export Compliance (Exotic Skins): To ensure your timepiece clears international customs without delay or risk of seizure, MTS strictly adheres to CITES regulations. We do not export exotic leather straps across international borders. For all overseas orders, any Crocodile or Alligator straps will be replaced with a high-quality,
non-exotic leather alternative. We thank you for your understanding in helping us preserve these protected species.

6. RETURNS, REFUNDS & INSPECTIONS
6.1 Personal Inspection Encouraged: MTS maintains a physical boutique in Melbourne. We strongly encourage all local clients to book a Private Appointment to inspect timepieces or jewelleries in person prior to purchase. For interstate or overseas clients, our team is available via WhatsApp or Email to provide high-resolution macro photography, live video walkthroughs, and detailed condition reports upon request.
6.2 No "Change of Mind" Returns: Once a purchase is finalized—whether in-store or online—MTS does not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for "change of mind," size preference, or buyer’s remorse. By completing the transaction, the client acknowledges they have had ample opportunity to inspect the item or request additional information.
6.3 "As-Is" Condition (Pre-Owned): All items sold by MTS are pre-owned. While our Certified Workshop ensures every piece meets our mechanical standards, customers accept that vintage and pre-owned items will have character marks consistent with their age. These are clearly documented in our condition reports and do not constitute a
"fault."
6.4 Australian Consumer Law (ACL): Nothing in these terms excludes the guarantees provided by the Australian Consumer Law. Refunds will only be considered in the event of a "Major Failure" (as defined by the ACL) that was not disclosed at the time of sale. Any such item must be returned to our Melbourne Workshop for a technical forensic audit by our Master Watchmaker before a credit is issued.
6.5 International Returns: Under no circumstances will MTS accept returns for international orders due to customs complications or unpaid import duties in the destination country. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to understand their local import laws.
